The painter carefully mixes the paints--acrylics--her preferred medium. A cup of water sits next to the paint pallet. The water is clear when she dips her brush into it. She looks at the canvas and the studio around her. The brush is dragged into the green paint. The green is pushed across the canvas in a sweeping motion. Blue now-- for the sky. The blue is delicately placed on the canvas. The tree trunks are struck onto the canvas. More green, a different green for the leaves. Yest another green is chosen for the trees' shadows--but where is the sun? An, there it is-- yellow is circling the upper right corner and streaked across the sky--touching the trees. The cup of water is now muddy from the greens, blues, browns and yellow.
